Starting 1st May on International Permaculture Day and running for 14 weeks part time, this Permaculture Design Course is being held on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.
A 90+ hours course running over 14 weeks, either Wednesdays OR Sundays, plus site visits and additional workshops. Suitable for people wishing to develop their own productive garden, planning a larger scale rural enterprise, or starting out in the world of design.
Topics covered include Permaculture ethics and principles, zones and sector analysis, creative problem solving, pattern language, reading the landscape, climate, bioregions and microclimates, water, soil, food forests, kitchen gardens, energy efficient technologies and buildings, integrating animals into garden or farm design, bushland conservation and regeneration, urban and community planning.
Guest tutors will enhance your learning experience, along with site visits to see examples of permaculture or related techniques in action.
By the end of the course students will have developed and presented one individual design and one group design.
