Permaculture Hunter members have been big fans of the work of Mark and Kate of Purple Pear, for some time now. We would love to spend International Permaculture Day learning about Purple Pear Farm and lending a hand on the farm.
- 9.30 to 10.30 Discussion over a cuppa – Urban and Suburban Permaculture – What are they and how are they best implemented.
- 10.30 to 12.30 Working detail – in the community allotments, planting trees as a wind break and other tasks as set on the day.
- 12.30 to 1.30 – Lunch – Pizza with bases supplied by Purple Pear and fillings supplied by members of Permaculture Hunter.
- 1.30 to 3.30 – Design presentations from the PDC participants. Members welcome to stay.
People need to wear sensible foot-ware with closed toes and other PPE such as gloves and hats etc.
We will fire up the Pizza Oven and mark will supply bases. Members and attendees are invited to bring yummy toppings, or dishes to share for a pot-luck-style lunch.
Cost is a $5 donation to Permaculture Hunter.
