Calling all permaculturists in Southland, Otago, and Queenstown & Lakes areas – come to the Lower South Island Permaculture Convergence/Hui in the lead up to the Heritage Harvest Festival (29 and 30th of March).
Interested in Permaculture, but never done a course or workshop: there is an Introduction to Permaculture day workshop on the Thursday before (27th March), so come to that, then the Hui, and then the festival. Make it into a holiday of learning, networking, and relaxing all-in-one trip!
The hui program will be something like: welcome, meet and greet, forest garden tour of 29-year-old forest garden (world famous), lunch, speakers, afternoon tea, panel discussion or small group discussions, closing. Book early as places are limited, and book your accommodation early too to have more choices.
This is a permaculture event for people who know something about permaculture, i.e. have read about it, done a course, or workshop, and so on. If you are interested but completely new to it, then we highly recommend coming to the Intro on the day before – facilitated by well-educated and experienced tutor Dylan Graves, who will give the low down on all the basics of permaculture design and thinking in an interactive learning environment.
