🌱 Welcome to Our Free Community Seed & Plant Swap! 🌱
One of our goals is to help more people grow food at home. It doesn’t have to be a large garden or elaborate layout, and often we end up with extra seeds or plants. Whether you have one patio pot of tomatoes or are looking to have a bed of veggies to preserve, share the bounty!
What to Expect:
Show up anytime between 2-4pm. Selections will change as participants bring new items and take items.
Plan to spend a little time organizing your seed donations and browsing other’s offerings.
Enjoy some music and refreshments while you look over options.
Talk to other gardeners, learn about what they brought, what they are excited about and get tips for growing.
Take home your stash and get planting! Share pics with us using the hashtag #MNMseedswap
This is a fun and inclusive event where everyone—whether you bring something to share or not—can take home seeds and plants to grow.
To keep it fair and enjoyable, please follow these simple guidelines:
1. Bring What You Can
Seeds (heirloom, open-pollinated, or organic preferred)
Seedlings, cuttings, potted plants
Garden-related items (e.g., books, small tools, pots)
Label everything clearly (plant name, variety, growing instructions, etc.)
2. Take Only What You Can Grow
Be mindful and take only what you have space and time to care for.
If you’re a beginner, ask for advice—experienced gardeners are happy to help!
3. Share & Learn
Talk to others about what you’re swapping—gardening is about community!
Don’t hesitate to ask questions or offer tips if you have experience.
4. No Selling or Hoarding
Everything is free, and no one should take excessive amounts at once.
Let everyone have a chance to participate!
5. Leftovers Go to Good Homes
Any unclaimed items at the end may be donated to community gardens, schools, or local nonprofits.
Thank you for joining us and helping grow a greener community! 🌿💚
